As loving parents, we realize that you may have questions about our fraternity. Thank you for taking the first steps in researching your son’s interest in Beta Sigma Psi! Read on to learn more about our fraternity, and feel free to contact us with any questions you may have!
A Foreword for Parents
We understand that you are extremely invested in the success of your son while at college. Beta Sigma Psi is here to provide your son with an environment in which he can thrive spiritually, scholastically, and socially. We take great pride in facilitating and fostering environments that are suitable for a young college man to grow and learn while challenging him to become a leader of tomorrow.
This section is dedicated to parents who are interested in learning more about the interests of their son. Our goal is to answer all of your questions about joining a fraternity and supporting your son’s decision. For your son, making the transition to a four-year college or university might seem like an imposing challenge. Your son is leaving home to make new friends, prepare for a career, and develop adult perspectives on responsible behavior. Fraternities are a proven support network for your son as he embarks on this new period in his life. The men of Beta Sigma Psi are here to help foster an encouraging environment for your son to grow as he makes the transition to Missouri S&T.
In Beta Sigma Psi, your son will have many opportunities:
He will help his community and build lasting experiences through philanthropic projects such as Service Trips, Blood Drives, and many other events.
He will take on hands-on leadership roles in the chapter to develop management and professional skills which he will use throughout his career.
He will be surrounded with a group of men that share his Christian faith, and will have opportunities to grow his faith through devotions and Beta Sig Sundays.
He will be offered scholastic resources including an online file system, scholarships, and study hours to help him achieve his academic goals.
He will be included in a group of like-minded and supportive friends who will support him as he transitions to college and throughout his lifetime.
He will be given the opportunity to network with fraternity alumni for career opportunities and mentoring relationships during and after college.
He will be encouraged to get involved on campus and in the community. 100% of our members are involved in organizations outside of the fraternity.
He will learn how to create a safe environment for himself and others through hazing and sexual assault prevention, and through harm reduction education to address inappropriate alcohol and drug use.

Greek Life offers an excellent opportunity for college students to develop their leadership and social skills. Beta Sigma Psi offers a support system that will serve your son well, including study hours, mentoring, and guidance from upperclassmen. Along with this, Beta Sigma Psi has an extensive network of alumni to further your son’s career.
